Welcome to Relational Life Institute (“RLI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website relationallife.com and any related products, services, courses, memberships, certifications, events, or communications we offer (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.
2. Accounts and Registration
Some Services — including our online learning platform, certification programs, and members-only resources — require you to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account with others.
3. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Refunds
When you buy a course, workshop, subscription, certification, or other paid Service, you authorize us (or our payment processors) to charge the payment method you provide. Pricing and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically on the stated cycle until you cancel.
Refund eligibility is set out on the individual product or program page at the time of purchase. Unless a specific refund policy states otherwise, all sales are final. To request a refund that meets the stated policy, contact support@terryreal.com.
4. Intellectual Property
All content we provide through the Services — including videos, audio, text, slides, worksheets, images, graphics, software, logos, and the Relational Life Therapy® methodology and trademarks — is owned by Relational Life Institute or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use only.
You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, publish, sell, rent, license, modify, create derivative works from, publicly display, or exploit any part of the Services without our prior written consent. You may not record, screenshot, or re-share live session content.
5. User Conduct
You agree not to use the Services to: (a) violate any law or the rights of others; (b) harass, threaten, or defame any person; (c) share content that is illegal, abusive, sexually explicit, discriminatory, or harmful; (d) impersonate anyone else; (e) interfere with or disrupt the Services or their security; or (f) access the Services through automated means or to scrape data.
6. Not Therapy or Medical Advice
The Services — including our courses, workshops, coaching programs, articles, and certification content — are intended for educational and informational purposes. They are not psychotherapy, counseling, or medical care, and participation does not create a therapist–patient or clinician–patient relationship. If you are in crisis or need clinical care, please contact a licensed mental-health professional or, in an emergency, call 911 (or your local emergency number) or 988 (the U.S. Suicide & Crisis Lifeline).
7. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, tools, or platforms (for example, payment processors, video conferencing, email providers). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or conduct of any third party. Your use of third-party services is subject to their terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee any specific outcome from using the Services.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Relational Life Institute, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we believe your use presents a risk to us or to other users. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will do so.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
