“ Intimacy isn’t something you have, it’s something you do. And you can learn to do it better. ”
You’re About to Discover the Real Work of Relationships…
There’s nothing more important in life than our relationships. Science has proven they shape every aspect of our well-being – from our emotional happiness to our physical health.
Yet, most of us were never taught how to truly make them work. We stumble through, hoping love will be enough – only to find ourselves stuck in the same frustrating patterns, struggling to communicate, often feeling unheard, or disconnected.
The truth is, great relationships don’t just happen. They’re built, moment by moment, through healthy skills and actions.
This two-day workshop is your chance to learn what no one ever taught you: the real, minute-to-minute work that creates lasting connection, trust, and intimacy.
Whether you’re in a relationship or single, this is one of the most powerful investments you can make in your future love & happiness.
Embrace a Whole New Way of Being in a Relationship
You’ll leave behind… The Old Way | You’ll embrace… The New Way |
---|---|
“Shutting up and putting up” with bad behavior to avoid conflict | Asserting your needs with love & respect so your partner can be more receptive |
Listing all the things your partner does wrong in every disagreement | Focusing on specific issues instead of blaming |
Thinking that if they really cared, your partner would just know what you want | Clearly expressing what you want – and helping your partner meet those needs |
Getting defensive when your partner shares their feelings | Listening with compassionate curiosity to better understand your partner's perspective |
Battling to prove you’re right, whatever the cost | Letting go of the need to be “right” in favor of solutions that work for both of you |
Not asking for what you want… and then complaining when you don’t get it | Encouraging your partner’s efforts and celebrating progress |
What Should I Expect From the Relationship Bootcamp?
The Relationship Bootcamp runs from Saturday 28 – Sunday 29 June, 2025, from 9:30 am – 5:30 pm each day. Led by senior RLT therapists and educators, Desirae Ysasi, LPC-S, and Bonny Slim, LMFT – both personally trained by renowned therapist and bestselling author Terry Real – this immersive experience will give you the skills and insights needed to transform the way you relate to yourself and others.
Through a blend of teaching, small group exercises, and guided personal reflections, you’ll learn the essential skills of Relational Life Therapy (RLT) – a radically effective relationship therapy approach that creates real and lasting change.

But This Isn’t Just About Learning New Skills…
Because Skills Alone Isn’t Enough – We Work With the Part of You Who Won’t Use them
Imagine you’ve learned how to communicate openly and compassionately when something upsets you. In theory, you know exactly what to say.
But in the heat of the moment – when emotions are high – do you actually use that skill?
For most of us, the answer is no.
That’s because when conflict arises, we don’t respond from our rational, adult self—we react from our inner Adaptive Child. This is the part of us shaped by past experiences, wired to protect us but also the very thing that blocks deep, healthy connection.
- Maybe you shut down at the first sign of conflict.
- Perhaps you lash out, getting defensive before you even realize it.
- Or maybe you desperately try to “fix” things at the cost of your own needs.

This is an authorized presentation of Terry Real’s Relational Bootcamp, using the skills and principles from his Relational Life Therapy (RLT) model.

Who Should Join?
The Relationship Bootcamp is suitable for:
- Couples looking to strengthen their connection, improve communication, and sustain intimacy.
- Individuals looking to overcome their barriers to intimacy and cultivate more meaningful relationships.
- Mental health professionals looking to deepen their understanding of the RLT model and facilitate their own Relationship Bootcamps.

Desirae Ysasi
About Desirae Ysasi
I have been a licensed therapist since 2006 and a certified Relational Life Therapist since 2018.
The road to RLT certification began as a desire to learn more about my passion for couples work and ended as a completely transformative experience for myself and my own relationship.
I am thrilled to enter into this relational revolution with my fellow faculty members bringing full-respect living to a whole new generation of therapists and clients.

Bonny E. Slim
About Bonny E. Slim
I started training in RLT in 2012, and I have participated in most of the courses that Terry has offered since then.
Through co-facilitating several Relational Bootcamps,
I discovered how transformative the group experience can be. I anticipate the impact that the practicum groups have for participants will be equally valuable.
My favorite aspect of RLT is the awareness that practicing relational skills in our own lives is essential to be able to authentically share/teach these skills to others.
Getting to the Bootcamp
All participants are required to make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.
Regent’s University London, Inner Circle, Regent’s Park, London, NW1 4NS
Roughly a 5-minute walk from Baker Street underground station.
Limited (paid) onsite parking is available. Please visit the venue’s website for more information.
How The Relationship Bootcamp Has Helped Others
My wife and I both found RLI’s workshop to be exceptional, and well worth the time and effort to fly to Boston. I would recommend it highly, particularly to couples having communication problems.
RLI’s approach is unique, but common sense, so it is easy to understand &, hopefully, to apply.

Terry Real’s Boot Camp was life-changing for me and my husband. We’ve been together 30+ years so it’d be fair to wonder what would we possibly have to work on.
My love-avoidant, grandiose man said this shifted our relationship to a deeper, more loving level; his love-dependent, grandiose wife agrees.
The Boot Camp weekend opened up new ways to talk, to see ourselves and to love each other.

The couples work that you do is so valuable — we are relating now in a wholly new and expansive way. I
t’s what each of us knew we were missing but could not have found on our own. Thank you so much!

I have found that most couples really want a relationship that works for both people and they have no idea how to make that happen.
Once they learn that implementing a set of learned skills can achieve their goal, the majority of couples are willing to do things differently.
They become empowered to change!
