Train The Next Wave of RLT Practitioners

As RLT’s reach continues to grow, we’re welcoming more professionals to teach elements of the certification program and help us meet the increased demand. It’s an exciting time for our growing community! 

When you become an RLI trainer, it’s more than just teaching skills. We’re looking for relational role models who are passionate about bringing the benefits of RLT to more people.

What is an RLI Trainer?

RLI Trainers are contractors who work with the RLI Faculty to deliver RLT Certification practicums and/or small group mentoring. The hours and months you will be delivering training are flexible, based your availability and RLI’s training demand.

As an RLI Trainer you will:

  • Including lectures, role plays, discussion, and personalized feedback.

How Do I Apply?

Step 1: Application

Tell us a bit about your background, availability, and what’s calling you to this next step. The application takes no more than 10 minutes to complete.

Please note: We will supply details of rates via email should we invite you to interview. 

Step 2: Interview

If your application is successful, you will attend a 60-90 minute conversation with our Director of Training, Desirae Ysasi, and another senior faculty member. 

You’ll also deliver a short teaching segment as part of your interview – we’ll provide everything you need to prepare.  

Step 3: Onboarding

Before you begin your teaching role, you’ll go through a period of onboarding, which takes approx. 40 hours. 

This involves:

  1. Shadowing faculty during live practicums.
  2. Watching pre-recorded training videos.
  3. Attending supervision calls with Desirae and Senior RLI Faculty.

*Please note: This training period is unpaid, but all necessary resources and mentoring are provided at no cost to you.

Step 4: Start Teaching

Once you’ve completed your training, you’ll begin delivering practicums/mentoring yourself.
